The Animated Series' Creator Has Seen Fans' Second Season Predictions — With Some Positive Updates

The much-anticipated Season 2 of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel arrives on Prime Video this week, and audience theories has been intense.

The first season introduces a large cast of personalities living within Hell and Heaven, pits them against each other accompanied by songs about their clashes, and builds tense rivalries and emotional bonds that drive audience devotion.

The community's expectations for the new season differ greatly, but certain threads emerge over and over: Will Angel Dust break free from Valentino? Might we learn more about the binding agreement affecting the enigmatic Alastor? Might certain characters' relationships evolve?

"Obviously, I don't produce the show with audience demands as the main goal," the creator stated earlier this year. "However I believe that me being a fan of my own show implies there's a lot of it just inherently. I also want to see these things, and I want some of these things to occur, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator reveals her long-term vision is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have received approval by the production companies, which produce the series.

That could imply fans have to wait years for some of the biggest payoffs — but they may be surprised at how quickly season 2 progresses, and how many of what they're anticipating happens this season.

"I feel like people are going to get a lot out of it," the creator notes. "We get some firsts. I think we get some really amazing disclosures, some fascinating backstories, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear additional musical numbers from the previously silent cast members."

She's certainly aware of the theories and desires about the upcoming season — particularly in the format of fan bingo cards.

"I've come across a couple people create a prediction grid about season 2," she mentions. "Naturally I can't post it, but I've already completed a few items, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that makes me think we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel the second season launches on the streaming service on Oct. 29.
